It is said that women are victims of a certain kind of deception from the womb to the grave. Childhood under fathers protection, old age passes under son's protection. Economic dependence is the biggest obstacle in the path of their economic and social empowerment and the workforce participation rate of women is continuously decreasing due to lack of education and skills. If we want to become a world power, then we have to connect half of our population with the technical and skilful knowledge of the 21st century and social knowledge.
Greevika centres around providing women livelihood programmes to run their business, farms and preserve the art and culture of their native place so that they can become empowered and generate their own income. Greevika aims to provide sustainable livelihood and also to improve their abilities to climate change adaptation and mitigation.
